Before Alexandra could open her mouth to say ‘Good morning Sir’, Kirklin said to her as he walked into the meeting room “Xandra, why are you troubling yourself with all these documents? Shouldn’t Mrs. Shookus be the one to fix them up?”

She didn’t expect her boss to come in this early so she was startled when she heard him call her in his usual warm way of addressing her by Xandra which always makes her feel an indescribable deep connection with him.

“Oh good morning Sir…. erm… I asked Mrs. Shookus to stay back because she needed to help her best friend who had an emotional breakdown yesterday night”.
