Exiting the doctor's chamber, Evelyn's mind was in turmoil. She wondered how she would tell Alaric about her pregnancy. Deep down, she knew Alaric would not want to have a child with her, given their crumbling relationship.

Lost in her thoughts, Evelyn's steps paused, and she found herself clutching the report tightly with one hand while protecting her belly with the other. She muttered to herself, "What if he asks me to abort this child?"

The mere thought of abortion made Evelyn's heart ache and bleed.
