Morning, in Azure Villa,
Last night, Evelyn fell asleep with a heavy heart, after the argument with Alaric. As soon as her ringing phone woke her up, she groggily answered it, not sure who could be calling her this early morning.
She answered without checking the caller ID. "Hello?" she mumbled, struggling to open her eyes.
To her surprise, it was her father's voice on the other end, seething with anger.
"Evelyn! What the hell is going on between you and Alaric? How could you two make a joke about our families like this?" Her father, Christian Rockefeller's voice was strained with fury.
"Dad?" Evelyn was startled by her father's sudden outburst. "What are you talking about? I don't understand..." she trailed off, her confusion mounting.
"If you want to know what I'm talking about, just check the trending news on the internet! You and Alaric have some explaining to do!" Christian's voice boomed, anger evident in every word.
Saying this Christian hung up in anger.
Evelyn's phone started to buzz with notifications as she scrolled through the news article. The headline read: "Exclusive: CEO of TitanTech, Alaric Pritzker, caught out on a date with model Dianna East." Sinking deeper into her bed sheets, Evelyn clicked on the article, swiping through the images to find the one that had caught her father's attention.
There they were - Alaric and Dianna, sitting in a cozy ice cream parlor. Her eyes were blazing with fury when she saw the picture of Alaric feeding the ice cream.
Alaric looked at Dianna with such tender eyes. Evelyn wondered why he never looked at her like that?
Rather than sadness, Evelyn felt a deep sense of betrayal in her heart. Her hands clenched tightly around her phone as she felt a wave of fury wash over her.
She knew about Alaric's affection for Dianna but she expected Alaric to come out in public soon. Moreover, he had made Evelyn a laughing stock in front of everyone.
Seeing the comments of people sympathizing with her because her husband cheated on her, she threw her phone on the ground.
"You went too far, Alaric," she muttered, her voice filled with fury. "You went too far "
Evelyn's relationship with her father has never been that good. Ever since she could remember, she only saw her father treating her as an obligation even though her father was her only family.
As her father's angry voice still rang in her ears, Evelyn knew that she had a lot of explaining to do. But first, she needed to confront her cheating husband.
Evelyn quickly got out of bed, feeling numb and betrayed. She was being the doting wife while Alaric disregarded her feelings, flaunting his mistress in her face. However, still her heart bled to let Alaric go.

Meanwhile, in TitanTech,
As Alaric sat in his cabin, his eyes focused on his computer screen. His expression was stoic, his demeanor cold. Suddenly, the door to his cabin burst open and in walked his friend, Kevin.
Kevin, with his tall and lean figure, his piercing green eyes, and his chiseled jawline, he could easily catch anyone's attention. He had thick, jet black hair that fell effortlessly into a messy yet stylish haircut. His smile was both charming and mischievous, giving him an air of playful mystery.
His voice was smooth and deep, with a hint of amusement that added to his enigmatic allure. Women were drawn to him like moths to a flame, but he never seemed to commit to any one person.
Although he exuded an air of danger, there was something undeniably alluring about him that kept people coming back for more. No one could quite figure him out, and that was part of his irresistible charm.
The largest fashion clothes business in the Starfall city was Kevin's to inherit. He had a private office of his own. He had already established a solid reputation for himself at the young age of 28.
"Hey man," Kevin said, his voice playful and upbeat.
Alaric looked up from his computer screen, his eyes meeting Kevin's. "Did you do what I asked you to do?" he asked, his voice monotone.
Kevin's smile widened. "Of course I did. I completed my task flawlessly. The news will be taken off the internet in the next ten minutes."
Alaric simply replied with a "Hmm."
The two men stayed in silence for a few moments before Kevin spoke up again. "By the way, are you sure you want to divorce your wife?"
Alaric's frown deepened. "What do you mean?" he asked.
Kevin sighed heavily. "I just think that rather than Dianna, your wife, Evelyn, is a much better match for you."
Alaric paused for a moment, his thoughts drifting to Evelyn. But he quickly pushed those thoughts aside and answered, "I already handed her the divorce papers."
Kevin shook his head. "You should rethink your decision. You won't get a girl like Evelyn again."
"If Evelyn wasn't your wife, then I would have gone after her," Kevin teased.
Alaric's anger flared, he scowled. "If you have time to waste chit-chatting, why don't you go to dad's office and do something productive?"
Kevin rolled his eyes in irritation, but he hit the correct nerve, "If you're this angry just by the mention of another man going after Evelyn, then how are you going to handle your temper when she remarries?"
Alaric raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Remarry?" he repeated.
"What?" Kevin was taken aback. "Evelyn is just 24. Did you think she was going to stay single for the rest of her life? Sooner or later, she will meet another guy," he explained. "And let's face it, she's beautiful, kind-hearted, and down-to-earth. Which man could resist falling for a woman like that?"
Alaric clenched his fists. Just the thought of Evelyn being with another man made his heart fume with anger. But the next moment, he was confused. Why would he care if Evelyn was with someone else?
"I don't know what you're talking about," Alaric said, his voice cold.
Kevin shot him a knowing look. "Come on, man. I've known you for too long. I can see that you don't want Evelyn to leave you."
Alaric's eyes narrowed. "I don't know what you're trying to imply."
Kevin just shook his head. "You can try to deny it all you want, but the truth is, I think you only want to marry Dianna because you feel obligated to her for the sake of old times," he shrugged.
Alaric was taken aback. "What?" he replied, his voice rising in anger.
"It's been a year since you married Evelyn. If Dianna hadn't returned all of a sudden saying that she left you because your family forced her to leave to make you get married to Evelyn, if Dianna hadn't told you of her incurable cancer and she only has a few years to live, wouldn't you have eventually accepted Evelyn in your heart?" Kevin continued.
"What nonsense!" Alaric stood up and slammed his palms on the table. "I hate Evelyn Rockefeller. Even if Dianna never returned, I still would have divorced her at some point!"
"You sure?" Kevin emphasized his question.
Alaric took a moment to think about it. His mind wandered to Evelyn. He felt a pang of guilt wash over him.
Kevin walked over and stood beside Alaric, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Look buddy, I just want you to be happy, it doesn't matter who you are happy with. But since I know how desperately Evelyn has tried to make this marriage with you work out, I feel like she is the one who can make you truly happy." He continued, "If you still want to divorce her, then it's completely your choice. The reason why I asked you to rethink your choices is only because I don't want you to do anything that you're going to regret for the rest of your life."
Alaric took a deep breath. "I will divorce her," he said, his voice barely above a whisper, but he couldn't shake off the feeling of guilt that lingered in his heart.
Alaric was busy talking to Kevin, when the phone on his desk rang. Alaric picked it up."Sir, Ms. East is here," the receptionist said, her voice tinged with urgency. "She's causing a scene, demanding to see you."Alaric let out a sigh, his shoulders slumping slightly. "Send her in." He told the receptionist.Kevin raised an eyebrow at Alaric. "What's up, man? You look like you're about to jump out of your skin out of irritation."Alaric groaned and rubbed his temples. "Dianna is coming over."Kevin raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing on his lips. "Speak of the devil," he said, amusement clear in his voice. He never liked Dianna in the first place. From Kevin's perspective, Dianna always seemed fake.Alaric silently scowled at Kevin. He shot Kevin a glare, not in the mood for snarky comments. The door finally opened, and Dianna burst into the room, her eyes red from crying. She was dressed in a short, pink fluttery dress. As Dianna walked into the cabin, Kevin irritably muttered under
Noticing Evelyn, Alaric pushed Dianna away and looked at Evelyn, fuming with anger, "What are you doing here?"The next moment, Alaric's gaze then traveled to Bryan, silently asking for answers. Before Alaric could question, Bryan replied, "I tried to stop Mrs. Pritzker, but she didn't listen."Evelyn interrupted and let out a laugh, her eyes fixed at Alaric, "I was told you were busy with a meeting, but now I can see what kept you busy."Alaric's anger grew, but he still didn't explain that earlier Dianna suddenly kissed him, catching him off guard. He cold-heartedly asked Evelyn, "What do you want?"Evelyn calmly controlled her anger and said, "I want to talk to you," then she looked at Dianna and said, "Alone."Bryan understood that it was time for him to leave. He said, "I'm leaving first," and he left, closing the door.Evelyn, Alaric, and Dianna, were the ones standing in the room now. "Ms. East, I think you didn't listen to my words clearly." Evelyn shifted her gaze to Dianna
"If you're here to talk about the news, then I've already had it taken down from the internet," Alaric said, his cold-hearted expression back on his face. "Also, I'll handle our families."Evelyn's expression softened right after Dianna left the room. She looked at Alaric with a mix of sadness and disappointment, and said, "Alaric, how could you do this to me? You know that I did everything in my power to make you love me."Even though a wave of guilt washed over Alaric's mind, his expression was still hard. Seeing that Evelyn returned to her gentle self, he calmed his tone down, and he replied, "We can talk about this later. Right now, I have work to do."Evelyn's anger started to rise again, and she exclaimed, "No, Alaric Pritzker! We are going to talk about this right now." She shouted out, "You know how much humiliation that I will suffer after being abandoned by you! Please tell me, what was my fault?! Why was I not enough?!"Alaric let out an exasperated sigh, "Evelyn, this is m
Alaric grabbed Evelyn's delicate body and fiercely thrust into her. Their unclothed bodies brushed against one another. Their clothing was all over the floor. Their groans and labored breathing could be heard across the entire room. Even though Alaric despised Evelyn, he couldn't help but feel good about her. Evelyn moaned on and on until they reached their climax, at the point when Alaric poured his seed inside of her. They finished, panting and looking into each other's eyes. Alaric felt a strange unnamed emotion towards her, but he quickly brushed it off. After a few minutes,Alaric finished buttoning up his shirt and turned to face Evelyn, who had just finished zipping up her dress. She smiled to herself, thinking that finally, Alaric had looked at her. She had been waiting for this moment for so long. But her smile quickly faded when Alaric spoke. "You need to take an emergency pill," he said, frowning. "I don't want any unwanted pregnancies, so it's better if you take one."Evel
Main house of the Pritzer Household,Aurora was pacing back and forth in her room, visibly irritated. Just then, she noticed her ringing phone, and she hurriedly answered it.Dianna finally called her, "Hey, Aurora, I just finished my photoshoot and I called you as soon as I saw your text. Is everything okay?"Aurora growls, "No, nothing is okay!"Dianna was surprised and asked, "What do you mean?" Her scream echoed in the empty green room.Aurora told her, "That bitch Evelyn finally got what she wanted. She finally managed to climb into my brother's bed."Dianna was horrified, "What?"Aurora's voice was filled with disgust, "That slut Evelyn is very cunning. Today, I went to their place and guess what? I saw hickeys on her neck. That bitch had the audacity to flaunt those marks."Dianna took a pause. Indeed, she was wondering why Alaric had been out of touch since the past few days. This is the reason she sent Aurora over to the Azure villa, to check on him.Hearing everything, Diann
Evelyn woke up and walked to the living room, her eyes widening in surprise when she saw Dianna sitting on the couch. Evelyn's anger started to bubble up inside her, and she clenched her fists in fury. "What are you doing here?" she asked, her voice filled with disbelief and irritation. Dianna stood up with a smirk, her eyes glinting with mischief. "Just taking a tour of the house of my future husband," she said, her tone dripping with sarcasm. Before Evelyn could respond, Alaric entered the room, his attention solely on Dianna. Evelyn's heart sank as she watched him ignore her presence. "Dianna, why are you here?" Alaric asked, his voice tinged with a mix of surprise and curiosity. Without hesitation, Dianna rushed towards Alaric and hugged him tightly. A flicker of surprise crossed Alaric's face as he glanced at Evelyn. He stood there, his arms hanging on both sides, allowing Dianna to hold onto him. Evelyn looked away, her heart sinking even further. Tears welled up in Dianna's
Evelyn was cooking in the kitchen, her eyes downcast as she stirred the boiling pot. She heard the sound of footsteps and looked up to see Dianna walking in. Evelyn's heart dropped, she knew Dianna was here to cause trouble."Hello soon to be ex-wife," Dianna mocked, a cruel glint in her eyes. "I hope you know that Alaric is going to divorce you soon." She added, "Since he doesn't love you anymore."Evelyn, feeling a surge of anger, clenched her teeth but remained silent, not wanting to engage in any argument with Dianna. She tried to focus on the cooking, but Dianna kept taunting her."What happened to you now?" Dianna sneered. "Last day you were quite bold."Evelyn took a deep breath, trying to maintain her composure. "I have nothing to say to you, Ms. East. I suggest you leave before things escalate."Dianna's eyes burned with rage, and she stepped closer to Evelyn. "How dare you ignore me, bitch?" Dianna spat, grabbing Evelyn's hand roughly and spinning her around.Evelyn winced i
The sun shone down on the grand exterior of Evelyn's maternal home, the luxurious villa of the Rockefellers, nestled in the heart of the city. As she walked towards the front door, Evelyn was greeted warmly by the servants who had been with her family for years."Welcome back, our young lady. It's good to have you home," greeted the head butler with a smile.Evelyn returned the smile, feeling comforted by the warm reception. "Thank you. It feels good to be home."As she stepped into the foyer, Evelyn was greeted by Freya, the housekeeper, who approached her with a smile. They exchanged a few words."Ms. Freya, where is Dad?" asked Evelyn, sensing the hesitation in the other woman's demeanor."Sir is currently in his study. He is... in a bad mood," replied Freya, her expression reflecting her unease."I see. Please inform him that I'm waiting for him in the living room," said Evelyn, trying to keep her tone steady. "Thank you, Freya."Freya nodded before turning to leave. "Do you want
