Chapter 7

Alaric was busy talking to Kevin, when the phone on his desk rang. Alaric picked it up.

"Sir, Ms. East is here," the receptionist said, her voice tinged with urgency. "She's causing a scene, demanding to see you."

Alaric let out a sigh, his shoulders slumping slightly. "Send her in." He told the receptionist.

Kevin raised an eyebrow at Alaric. "What's up, man? You look like you're about to jump out of your skin out of irritation."

Alaric groaned and rubbed his temples. "Dianna is coming over."

Kevin raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing on his lips. "Speak of the devil," he said, amusement clear in his voice. He never liked Dianna in the first place. From Kevin's perspective, Dianna always seemed fake.

Alaric silently scowled at Kevin. He shot Kevin a glare, not in the mood for snarky comments.

The door finally opened, and Dianna burst into the room, her eyes red from crying. She was dressed in a short, pink fluttery dress.
