CHAPTER 94

As we walked out of the elevator into the lobby, we passed by the staff who stopped to greet him as usual, he merely nodded. We made our way to the car that was parked up front. William walked over to the driver’s seat while I opened the door to the back passenger seat, I placed the basket down and secured my seatbelt, glancing out of the window. After a few seconds, I noticed the car wasn’t even in motion. I turned confused, to ask what happened. I locked eyes with William who was already looking at me through the rearview mirror.

“What? Why aren’t you driving? Is there an engine failure?” I ask worriedly. Argh! This can’t be happening right now, what is wrong with this man? Didn't he agree to come with me? Lord knows what he is scheming.

“What are you doing? Do I look like your driver?” he inquired still maintaining eye contact with me.

“I’m sorry, what?” I ask, confused. “Was that a trick question?” I asked as I realized what he was implying, I rolled my eyes unbuckling my seatbel
