Chapter 24 - Geneva

geneva's pov

i stared at him in shock as i put my hand against my lips. we stared at each other as i gulped, realizing what just happened. for a moment, everything went silent. the vampires stopped consuming my head and all i could hear was my own breath and heartbeat.

"why did you…" the vampires started talking inside my head as he pulled me in for a hug before kissing my forehead. "i'm sorry, this might be the last time i can be with you. i'm sorry," he kept apologizing as i felt his tears fall on my face.

"i just want to make the most of it…" he whispered as more tears fell from his face. i felt my soul sink as my heart started aching. i can't remember him but i can remember the pain he's feeling. i tried uttering a word but i couldn't. the pain is just… consuming me as well.

"no, no, this won't be your end." denying his fate won't do anything so i need to take action. i held his chin up as i wiped the tears away from his face.
