WESLEY'S POV

I was beyond shocked after reading the book. I scrolled further until I reached the page where the deity vanished a thousand years ago and how he stopped writing from then on.

"The vampires did this," I read the notes before the page ended.

The following page, it was blank. I scrolled further until I found the last page with text on it. This was recent, only a few days before we caught them. It is odd how he refers to her in an endearing way. Did they perhaps like each other?

"She's finally in my arms again," I read lastly before my eyes landed on the wall where a piece of rock fell. My eyebrows furrowed before I put the book down and scanned the wall. It looks like something is behind it.

I grabbed the rocks off the wall before pulling them with force. I was expecting to see the book be hidden but to no avail. It was empty.
