Chapter Eighty-Three

Alex's POV

Alex stared out the window, watching the rain pelt against the glass. The decision to cooperate with Tyler had been a difficult one, but Alex knew it was the only way to keep the peace for Jasmine and the twins. Still, every fiber of his being rebelled against the idea of sharing the woman he loved with another man.

Deep down, he knew he was pretending. Pretending for Jasmine’s sake, to ease her worries, and to give her the rest she desperately needed. But his true feelings were a storm inside him, threatening to break free any time soon.

Tyler’s presence in their home had been a constant reminder of the precarious situation. The tension between them was palpable, and it didn’t take long for it to come to a head.

One evening, as the twins slept peacefully upstairs, Alex and Tyler found themselves alone in the living room. The atmosphere was charged, and it didn’t take much to ignite the simmering tension.
