I got to Chloe’s dorm faster than I thought was possible. I silently wondered if my inhuman speed was trying to get the best of me. I hope not, because that would have been so deadly for me.

I was about to knock when the door sprang open, revealing Chloe. She had her face beat with make-up, and a towel tied securely on her chest. I have not really seen Chloe dress up like this, but I was assuming it was one of the perks of living alone.

“Hi,” I greeted.

She grinned at me. “I knew it was you.”

“How?” I asked confused.

She walked into the room, and I followed after her. My bed was how I had left it, but there were a few notable changes to the room. More sleep-bags were arranged at the corner. I guess some things never changed no matter what.

“Well, you always hesitate at the door.”

I smiled slightly. “Not true.”

She turned to give me her, ‘are you kidding me’ look. “I really hope you realise I know you a lot more than you actually think is possible.”

That statement chilled me to the bon
