"The rules are simple. You don't fall in love me, because I most definitely won't love you back. All that matters is that your body belongs to me, Naya." He breathed out, kissing down my neck. *** Eccentric heartthrob and billionaire, Talon Thwaites, is no Prince Charming; he hates women and hates affection even more. There's no room for vulnerability in his heart. However, being in need of a fake bride, his limits are tested by Naya Davis, his very unusual choice for hire. With these two opposites, a match is made in hell between a devil with icy gray eyes and an angel with fire in hers. In this marriage, love is not an option. Or so they think.

I know that this is the author’s first story, but it’s gone from bad to extremely bad. The storyline is awful. I can’t read anymore. Good luck if you choose to read!

CHAPTER 1: UGLY GIRLFRIEND
NAYA’S POV:“You’re…not very attractive, Naya. You’re quite ugly, and it’s embarrassing to be seen as your boyfriend. My friends laugh at you, and kind of make these jokes about me. I don’t think this is working anymore. I think it’s best we just split, you know?”His words wafted through my earlobes, mixing together with whatever it is words mix with, then settling in my brain at a pace that’s too fast. Just too fast. I blinked. I blinked again. With a violent shake of the head, I blinked my brain into functioning again. What? Not very attractive? Ugly?“Huh?" My heart ached.Gale, my boyfriend of 3 years, stared at me hard, his mouth opening and closing as though he was a baby. Pain flashed through his warm brown eyes before he cast them to the ground. It was at that moment that his words hit harder than I’d expected. I waited though, waited for him tell me it was a stupid joke, the most expensive one ever. However, the punchline never came. “Look, I've been able to keep up with it

CHAPTER 2: NAKED AND BETRAYED
NAYA’S POV:Cool air slapped over my skin, forcing me to relax onto this soft thing my body was on. Cindy must have taken me home. This feels softer than my bed, though, I thought, as I stretched. Maybe I was in her room. With a little twist of the body, I felt the blanket on my body slip off, allowing the wind to graze my skin more. Needing reassurance of where I ended up for the night, I pulled my eyes apart and immediately cussed for making such a foolish mistake. The dim light of the room I was lying in stung my eyes with such vehemence that had me shutting them almost immediately, a groan escaping from my lips.As though summoned by the sight of light, a headache like never before sank into all the parts of my head, forcing me to twist and turn and-I hadn't noticed it because I thought I might have been in my room but now with the headache, inability to open my eyes and the air, it settles.I was stark naked.Placing one tender hand over my chest, my head went blank — headache

CHAPTER 3: MARRIAGE CONTRACT
NAYA’S POV: The world is such a dark dark place, I was thinking. But within that darkness, there is a little number of people who twinkle still, giving hope to rest of the world who have lost their-“Hey!"My eyes shut and open again, eyes blinking up. Whatever thought I was thinking, it was just the night sky laced with droplets of stars I had been looking at.“Hey."My gaze focused on the face of a man who was standing incredibly close to me. A stranger standing too close.“I'm relieved you're awake. Here, let me help you up," he said, placing one firm hand on my shoulder, the other wrapping around the upper of my back, and in seconds, he was lifting me up.My first thought as I stood on ginger feet after he got me up was, “That's quite impressive. You must have done this a number of times." The second was, “Who are you? And why were you standing close?"He heard me.“Pardon me for the awkward position. My name is Manuel. You almost walked into my car and I think I must have scrape

CHAPTER 4: FATHER'S THREAT
TALON'S P.O.VMy assistant, Manuel, could be such a shithead some days and today was one of those days. I couldn’t believe the idiot hit a lady while on the way and she passed out. Now, he was calling me while I was working, probably trying to give me an update about the lady. Growling angrily under my breath, I snatched my ringing phone up to answer the call, “What?” I snapped. “We are at the hospital, sir,” he replied briskly, not put off by the obvious anger in my voice. “How is she?” I asked. “She’s fine, sir,” he answered, calmly. His calm attitude was getting on my nerves. “I didn’t hit her. She passed out from the shock and sustained just a minor injury which the nurses are taking care of.”“Very good. Make sure everything is settled before coming back here. Is that clear?” I demanded. “Of course, sir.”I paused at his tone, a frown etched on my forehead as I observed how hideous he sounded. I would have asked him what was wrong, but it was none of my business. I was his e

CHAPTER 5: THE LAST OPTION
TALON'S P.O.V“Model has turned down offer.”One more look at my assistant's message and I was filled with rage and agitation that had me smashing my phone on my car floor. My breath came out in short, loud pants and my entire frame was shaking with fury. My hands were clenched into a tight fist as I glared at my phone that was now on the car floor. What the hell? How could she just wake up on the day we are supposed to get married and turn down the offer? I had placed my hopes on this! As a matter of fact, I already paid her half the price and I was going to pay her the remaining half after our agreement was completed and now, she’s just backing out? What am I going to do now? I already had so much hope riding on this! The plan was to get married to her, introduce her to my father as my wife, get my inheritance and divorce her after sometime. Now, I had to start searching for a replacement? I had to get married to someone one way or another. Not getting married means forfeiting my i

CHAPTER 6: SIGNING THE DEAL
NAYA’S POVAs Cindy walked out of the room, a man strolled in. I was immediately taken aback by the amount of sexiness and confidence the man exuded. He was tall – over six feet, handsome with his hair slicked back. His eyes were sharp and determined and gave him an aura of mystery. He had a stern frown on his face as he walked in, holding a bunch of papers in his hand. And when he opened his mouth to talk, his voice, though cold, was the sexiest tone I had ever heard. “These are the terms of our marriage contract. Sign it, or you’d lose whatever is left of your pathetic life.”I blinked at him once. Then, twice. Ugh? Did I hear him right? A marriage contract? Hold up, maybe the doctor was wrong and I’m suffering from a serious concussion. Or maybe the accident affected me so bad that I’m starting to hear things. The man glared hard at me, obviously irritated by my confused silence. He whirled around, facing Manuel who had immediately rose to his feet. “Is she also deaf and dumb?” he

CHAPTER 7: MISERABLE BRIDE
CHAPTER 7NAYA'S P.O.VI sat in front of the mirror, stiff and motionless. I stare at my reflection in the mirror and despite the beautiful white gown I’m dressed in or the jewelries I’m adorned in or the wonderful make-up on my face, my eyes still look dead and broken. I was getting married to Talon. This was hours after I agreed to sign the contract. He wanted to rush the marriage and I wasn’t shocked, considering the motive behind it. I wondered how he explained this to his parents. Did he tell them we were in love? What possible explanation would he have given them for rushing the marriage like this?I shook my head. Shopping for this wedding was a nightmare. Talon hired a wedding planner who was basically a pain in my ass. She dragged me to the worst places for dress fittings, shoes shopping. They forced me to sit down and pick a theme even after I told them I didn’t care and that they could pick whatever theme they wanted. The stress of the wedding was really not something I w

CHAPTER 8: KIDS?
NAYA'S P.O.VGetting married to Talon was one of the biggest decisions I had ever taken in my life and I was pretty sure I was starting to regret it. Not because I was suffering or anything – far from it. As a matter of fact, I was living more comfortably than I had ever lived. Talon was freaking rich. He had everything at his beck and call and I was benefitting from it insanely. I ate whatever I wanted, no matter how expensive. I had a whole new wardrobe – the wardrobe of my dreams with a lot of amazing outfits. I didn’t have to do any work around the house; Talon had people for that. But all these didn’t stop me from being bored and lonely. I was literally the only person in this house. Talon was a workaholic and he hardly stayed at home. He would leave the house before I woke up and by the time he’d get back, I would be asleep. The only thing I had for companion was the television and my phone and I hated using my phone because every other day, there was always something new abo

CHAPTER 9: NOT IN LOVE
CHAPTER 9NAYA’S P.O.VI remained motionless on the bed, listening to the water running from the bathroom, a sign that Talon was still taking his bath. Talon was taking his bath. The images that appeared in my head were disturbing……hot but disturbing. Talon under the shower, naked and… Nope, nope, nope, not going there. I couldn’t think about that. I had to think of something else. Anything at that point.Puppies wearing sunglasses, the awkward dinner tonight where Talon’s parents bluntly asked when Talon and I would have sex and give them kids, Talon’s annoying brother who, although might be good-looking, is not as handsome as Talon. I bet he doesn’t have a body like Talon’s either….that tall, athletic build with broad shoulder– Oh God, I was doing it again. I buried myself under the sheets, letting out a loud groan. The shower suddenly stopped running and seconds later, the door to the bathroom opens. Talon stepped out naked from the top to his waist. The only piece of clothing h

CHAPTER 10: ZOMBIE
NAYA’S P.O.VIf I thought Talon was closed off and a jerk ass before we spent the weekend in his parents’ house and that he couldn’t get any worse, he proved me wrong when we arrived back home. He walked straight into his study without uttering a word to me, slamming the door heavily behind himself while the servants looked at me in pity. I gritted my teeth in anger and frustration. It was probably my fault – stupid little me – for thinking that after the conversation we had at his parents’ house that night, we might have reached some sort of….I don’t know, truce or agreement. But the moment we got back home, he reverted back to his old, grouchy self. I should have seen that coming especially after the way he shut me down that night while we were talking. That hurt, I wasn’t going to lie. With nothing for me to do, I did the only thing I know how to do best – went into my room to wallow in self-pity and solitude. I drag my bag along with me, politely refusing help from the maids an
