CHAPTER 31: PROTECTING NAYA

Talon’s P.O.V

I couldn’t sleep at night. My mind raced on what Naya had told me earlier on. She was awake too, probably thinking about what occured.

I could hear her trying to control her breathe. I was too proud to think correctly when she was speaking to me. If she had been kidnapped, my dad would have found out somehow.

And that would’ve meant trouble for me. My dad would’ve expressly told me that I wasn’t looking out for Naya.

He would’ve been so sure that if I was offering some sort of protection to her, no harm would’ve come to her. I had a rethink about leaving her all by herself in some certain hence forth. I had to do all it takes to not raise suspicion.

Leaving her all by herself was also going to spoil my plans.

I thought. I had to protect her from that moment.
