Chapter sixty two

Narrator's POV

Paris

Mina looked out the window of the airplane. She was hungry. Not for food. But for a life. She was tired of being used. Harver Morvacain had degraded her role in recent years.

She had gone from daughter to a deal broker.

That meant no sleep. And a lot of conscience because she had to deceive her partnerships.

Pretty much all their partnerships were of deceptive nature.

The plane landed. She took off her earpods.

Hell. She was going to make a partner.

She'd never let him before. She wondered what he'd look like. She put on her protection ring. The last time she forgot, Lord Baron nearly found her out.

The bodyguards escorted her to the limo. Harver was screw that she'd run away. It was his fault. He was backstabbing everybody.

He felt superior to everyone.

There was only way to forget about this. Since she was in Paris, she could meet Genevieve.

She actually believe she was smiling.

Gen was the only person who made her feel like herself.
