Alexander's POV

"Did you get his location?"

"You were right—he isn't dead—but I couldn't. Nevertheless..."

"Yes?"

"I inquired with a woman who had cared for him that day, and she informed me that a bartender had traded the cup he had used for his drink."

"And the bartender?"

"I'm on my way to his house downtown."

I said, "Find him," and hung up before entering the living room. To my astonishment, Dad was sitting there reading a newspaper and grinning as I went in, but Anna was acting serious. "Good day, Dad."

He cleared his throat, "Come on, have a sit," "I know what you want to say, and I promise not to hurt Fiona. I recall that before I met your mother, I too had feelings for a commoner, but love eventually fades, and you understand that everything in life is prearranged for the privileged."

"Yes," Anna said with a glaring smirk, "and then I came after your mom, Tasha."

I angrily screamed, "Don't call my mother's name with your filthy mouth."

With a slight cough, Dad lifted his voice
