Chapter One

Peering through his phone screen Cedric Pierce tried hard not to sigh, he had been awaiting the call of his trusted branch manager Kareem, and however he remembered that he had an intention to meet up with his father. He appeared exhausted, he had been drilling holes all through the night in a warm pussy and he sure had a good weekend.

Meeting up with Carla wasn't much of a bad idea, he smiled to himself at how worn out she had looked when he was done with her. Tapping on his phone screen hurriedly, he informed Kareem of the change in the meeting time. He got to the office and was met at the office door by his personal assistant Maria.

"Good morning sir." she said as she walked towards him. "What schedule do you intend to add for the day? She kept on walking behind him.

"I am having a meeting this morning with the board of directors over our new project with G****e. After that would be having a personal meeting with my dad and then I would be seeing Kareem for the startup competition. Get me the files on the new project and get me a cup of coffee." Cedric read off nonstop, waiting a little time to catch his breath. "That will be all for now." He informed her.

Opening the door to his office, he felt the urge to run back. Cedric held his head, an ache threatening to form. He wasn't prepared for this, sitting on his chair was his best friend Adrian Connor.

Adrian was a thorn in his flesh, aside that he couldn't do without him. They had been together since childhood and shared a whole lot of similarities. His father was the company's lawyer until his death few years back and Adrian had since taken over from him, doing quite well at his job.

He owned a growing firm. However, he preferred coming down to the Pierce's empire to do nothing but frustrate him. On the seat in front of his table was his younger brother Oscar. He then knew why he felt a headache, those two when sitting together have nothing good to offer him.

Adrian noticing the expression on Cedric's face grinned widely, "Here comes the man of the moment!" He announced faking a bow.

"Hey brother, isn't it a lovely day. Nice seeing you." Oscar taunted.

Cedric looked around the room like he was in the wrong space, if anything those two always make him squirm with their obnoxious attitude. Making his life miserable was a point of duty for them both. "How the hell did you both get in?" Cedric bellowed, feeling sweaty in his suit even when the air conditioner was on full blast.

"Through the door of course." Adrian replied.

"Maria!!" Cedric called out in anger.

Maria jerked in her seat, she knew trouble would loom when her boss got in. Had prepared herself for the confrontation. She stood up hurriedly, entering the office.

"Explain this." Cedric said, pointing towards the two men grinning mischievously at him.

"They told me you knew about their coming." She explained her voice on the edge. The fear of Cedric Pierce was the beginning of wisdom. She wasn't ready to get in his bad books.

"Why didn't you tell me they were in? I would have gone as far away as I can from them. It's too early for fucks sake!" He sounded frustrated.

"Don't yell at the poor lady Cedric." His brother cautioned. Hey Maria, Cedric is just super excited to see us;reason for his reaction. Go back to your work pumpkin." Oscar told her winking, she blushed profusely. Ever since she started working in the company her crush for Oscar had lasted longer than expected. If he wasn't really into her she would have admitted to loving him. "Come sit brother." He called out to Cedric grinning.

"You won't tell me where to sit in my own office, is that clear!" Cedric glared at him.

"Ok, ok, you are the boss. Suit yourself sir." Oscar replied

"Get off my seat Adrian."

Attempting to get off, Adrian pulled himself back into the chair. "I wish I could, but my butt are stucked. Seems they like sitting in the CEOs chair." Adrian explained wiggling his brows at him.

The growl that escaped Cedric's lips was animalistic, seeing he had gotten on his nerves enough Adrian stood up sitting next to Oscar. They both fist bumped at their accomplishment in making Cedric frustrated. They always did that when they got together.

Cedric slumped into his seat, rubbing his forehead slowly. "I am going to murder the two of you. Just give me few minutes."

"You might need to save your strength to talk to Dad instead." Oscar said.

"For what?"

"He called for a meeting, which includes me too." Adrian chipped in.

"If it includes you, that implies we are to be there." He said pointing to Oscar, while making reference to their little brother Eric.

"Yes." They both affirmed.

"How come i didn't get the message?" Cedric queried confused.

"Because a certain someone was getting fucked out of his brains and didn't check his mail." Adrian sang.

"Maria does all of that." Cedric tried defending himself.

"Your private mail dude." Oscar said rolling his eyes.

"Still isn't any peculiar reason why I should be seeing both of your ugly faces this morning."

Adrian and Oscar stared at each other, "he didn't just call us ugly?" Oscar asked.

"He is only jealous of how good and better we look." Adrian said.

"You both should leave my office now!" He ordered.

"Very funny bro, we are to get into the office together. Order by dad." Oscar informed him.

"I hate you all." Muttered Cedric.

"The feeling is mutual brother. Need I remind you, it's time! Let's go Adrian." Oscar said beckoning to Adrian. They both get up staring back at Cedric to follow.

Cedric nodded, the last thing he wanted was be in a meeting with his whole family and best friend. But seeing the urgency probably his father wanted to handover to him already.

He had been told by the doctor to let work go by and take a full leave from it. His health status wasn't taking the stress any longer. But Ryan Pierce had always been a tough man, he only hoped the meeting was going to turn out for good.
