Tête-à-Tête

I stared at Bastien and Ivan, a frown forming on my lips as Ivan looked away from me.

“What other secret are you hiding, Bastien?” I asked him.

“Nothing that you should concern yourself with,” Bastien answered confidently.

“What do you mean by that? Ivan, what was he discussing with you?” I asked, knowing that Ivan would never lie to me.

“Leo said some mean things about Dad three years ago and he didn't want me to tell you,” Ivan answered.

“Mean things? Does Leo even know him?” I asked, surprised.

“It would seem so,” Ivan nodded.

My head was spinning from the mind-blowing kiss I had just shared with Mia and my skin was still tingling as if it was on fire.

I wasn't in the mood to deal with Bastien and his nonsense. I could feel my wolf howling with joy inside me and wanting me to mark her. I needed to be in a private place with Mia.

“It’s nothing for you to concern yourself with…” Bastien was saying but I ignored him and grabbed Mia’s wrists.

“Let’s go,” I said to her.
