Chapter 26

Chaoter 26:

After a lengthy silence, Layla replied, "You can drop me somewhere nearby. I believe I can find my way home from here."

He questioned, "Home, are you saying this? You can't go home?"

When he said that, she tried to understand what he meant by asking herself where she would go if she couldn't go home.

“What do you mean I can’t where do you go then?” she asked.

"You can come start at my place for tonight," he said.

He had the arrogance to suggest something like that to her. Does he ever consider anything at all?

"You're kidding, of course. I wouldn't suggest such a thing to myself; I need you to park this car so I can go home. Thank you," she said.

"Do you not understand it? If you go to a hotel, I can't guarantee your safety. Whoever you were fleeing from back then would be patiently waiting for you at your house because he knows that's where you're going. You can only stay with me, and no one else will have ever considered it. I'm aware that I may have let you down
