Chapter 27:

Darius was livid as he searched for Layla everywhere. How could she just have vanished like that?

Time was starting to move very fast and it would only be a matter of time before his brother called to ask for his whereabouts. How was he supposed to tell him that he had lost her?

He had lost their mate?

Darius tightened his fist in frustration as he looked around the restaurant. Layla was nowhere around. The longer he spent there searching for her, the further she got from them.

Quickly, he moved out of the restaurant and got into his vehicle, and started moving at the fastest speed he could muster.

"Where are you, Layla?" He growled as he cracked his brain trying to think of where she could have gone to.

Her file, the one he had gotten from her departmental supervisor said she had no family. Only her friend.

But he had no idea where this friend stayed.

Then it occurred to him that he could get more information about her from the same person he got the first news from.
