Chapter 24

Ariana's POV

I was surprised as I looked at the face of the person who had called out my name. I blinked and blinked my eyes in shock as I beheld the face of Diana. I was too shocked to speak because I was wondering what she was doing here, in the hallway of the Alpha's quarters of all places. I was certain that she had either come to visit me or the Alpha but my money was on the Alpha. She didn't know where I stayed in the pack house but she knew where the Alpha's quarters was situated.

Suddenly I felt a hand on my arm. Diana was tapping me gently to shake me out of my reverie and talking. "Ariana, Ariana," she called out. "What is wrong?"

Suddenly I was aware of my surroundings. Diana had succeeded in drawing me out of my thoughts. I looked at her and took in her outfit. Surprisingly, she was wearing a flowing summer dress just like mine but the only difference was that hers was red instead of yellow. On closer inspection, I saw that her own dress was a bit longer than mine but it w
