Chapter 62~

SARAH

I sat by my desk hunched over my computer in my office going through a new research in biology. I crossed my arms and uncrossed them, still feeling bothered over the fact that Ryan hadn't been communicating like usual.

Standing up, I walked over to the window in my office staring at the teens by the field as they ran around playfully. My eyes roamed the whole field in search of Ryan but he wasn't there.

A knock came on my door, and I grinned waiting on whomever it was wishing for it to be Ryan. But unfortunately, Kathryn walked in. “Hey, Miss!” She said walking into my office.

I had expected Ryan to call or text about his day and the next, but he didn't. My weekend was just about me sleeping on the couch moping around the house, eating chips, and staring at my phone waiting for his text.

I was pretty sure something was up. “Have I done something wrong?” I asked myself as I stood there smiling absentmindedly at Kathryn as she settled into the chair next to my desk.
