*Princess Amira's Pov*
"Your highness we should have sent someone instead. You know it's forbidden to go outside the school premises," Ashley said as soon as we arrive in the middle of the forest. We came here for a very important mission. I glared at her as a warning. She's annoying and stupid! Who cares about rules when nobody knows that we violated them!
"Keep your mouth shut Ashley or I will be the one to shut it for you!" I warned. She bowed down her and did not bother to speak again.
She just followed me while I was looking for the cottage of the snake hunter.
"Did you have the map with you?" I asked without even turning around to look at her.
"Yes your highness. It says here that the cottage is located at the west side of the woods. With two big acacia trees on it's sides," she explained. I nodded and started walking to the west side of the forest. This place is so quite that I could not even hear a single chirp from a bird. Everything looks so calm that you wouldn't even think about being attacked by wild animals.
"Your highness are you sure about this map? We've been walking for almost an hour already and there's not even a single sign of life in here. This forest is dead!" she blurted out.
"Just pray that we will not encounter any wild animals along the way, cause I swear to all the odds that I'm going to feed your annoying mouth to them!" I warned her again. This girl's mouth is really irritating.
Then, finally after walking for almost an hour we arrived at our destination. Geez this snake hunter! We have to suffer first before we could find him. His cottage is made up of bamboo and nipa. It looks simple but refreshing and a perfect place to rest when you're tired of city life.
Ashley started knocking at his bamboo door. She knocked 3 times before it finally opened, revealing the man we've been looking for.
"Who are you?" he asked with confusions written in his slightly big eyes. He's a little skinny and his hair looks like it had never experienced being washed for years. It's messy and I think it badly needs a hairbrush.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?" he shouted. Gosh he's breath stinks! I almost throw up and I badly want to shout in his face that he needs to know some personal hygiene.
"I am Princess Amira, the second princess of Citrine. And she's my personal assistant Ashley Devera," I told him before he shouts at us again. Because he might kill us with the bad breath he have!
He looked at me as if scanning me from head to toe. Then he smiled, a devil one!
"Come in your highness, it's a pleasure to have you as a guest," he said while opening the door wider for us.
"Have a seat." He motioned us to sit on his wooden chair but we refused.
"We're here for business, and I don't want to waste much time." We should hurry back to the University before they find out that we're missing. I swear my mom would surely kill me with her piercing stare if that happens.
"Oh? What kind of business your highness?" he asked with a smirk.
"I know that you're a snake hunter, so I want you to catch the most venomous snake you have ever encountered. Give it to me alive and without even a single scratch." He went silent for a while. Probably wondering on why the hell I wanted him to catch a snake, well not just a simple snake but the most venomous one.
"Your highness, what are you going to do with that snake?"
"Stop asking questions! You want to earn money or not?" I'm starting to feel irritated with this guy. He keeps on asking questions and it annoys me. Why don't he just answer me with a yes instead of asking too much?
"Of course I do want to earn money. But this thing you are requesting is very dangerous. It's a venomous snake and you want me to catch it alive!" he explained as if telling me that he deserves the best compensation for this job.
"Of course you will be compensated for it. I will give you two bags of golds if you will accomplish this task. You will be a rich snake hunter before you know it! You could build a better home than this and start your own family with that big amount of money," I told him. I could see how his eyes sparkle like diamonds after hearing my words. People will always be blinded by money. They will even offer their lives for it! What a pity!
"Well then, it's a deal your highness! When do you want me to deliver it to you?"
"Good. You don't have to deliver it in the University. Ashley will be waiting outside this forest tomorrow evening. Give it to her then you will have your money. But please be sure that nobody will see you," I explained to him.
"Yes of course your highness. I will look for a snake right away!" he said excitedly.
"Let's go Ashley, it's getting late and we need to arrive in the University before sunset."
"Yes your highness, I badly want to go home. I'm not going to die because of the wild animals, it's his breath that would kill me," she whispered that made me laugh. It seems like her mouth is not just the one functioning today.
"Shut up Ashley, he might hear us."
"I'm just telling the truth your highness," she reasoned out.
"Enough! Let's go!" I yelled at her. She pouts and started to walk outside without even waiting for me. This brat is forgetting who I am! I am her boss and she should walk behind me!
After another almost an hour walk, we finally arrive at the backdoor of the University where the secret door is located. We discovered this while following one of our professors. We got curious on what she's doing in the grassy part of this University so me and Ashley decided to follow her. Then we found her dirty little secret. She secretly sneaks out every afternoon using this rusty and old door covered with grasses. And who would have thought that this could be a great help to us?
*Third Person's Pov* After visiting the snake hunter, Amira and her servant started preparing for their plan to secretly sneak inside Princess Ana Mae's room. And their first step is to look for the room keeper who has all the keys in the girl's dormitory. "Did you find her?" the princess whispered to her servant who have just entered their classroom. They were supposed to have a class but their professor was on a very important meeting so they have a lot of time to prepare for their scheme. "Yes your highness! She's currently resting in the garden," Ashley answered. The princess stood up from her chai
"What is that thing you're hiding inside your cloak?" the guard asked again. Ashley bit her lips because of too much nervousness. She's thinking of an excuse but her mind is not working properly. It seems like fear has a great impact on her. "Uhmmm, it's just...." "It's my pet cat Tiara, she panics every time she sees a lot of people. That's why I told my servant to hid her in her cloak." She was relieved when Princess Amira came to help her explain. If she did not arrive on time, probably the guards had forced her to show them the cage. "Princess Amira!" All the guards bowed down their heads to pay their respects to the Princess. &nb
Princess Ana Mae woke up to the screeching sound in her closet. The sun is already up and her servant is nowhere to be found. "Probably she went downstairs to get us some food," she said while she carefully stood up from her bed. She slowly walks towards the direction of her closet to check on it. "What could be the reason for that screeching sound? Hmm?" She carefully opened it and tried to check on each of her dresses. And when she was about to check on the last dress she haven't checked yet, a snake came out from it. She was horrified for it's her first time to come face to face with a real snake. "Help!" she screamed. She was about to move away from there, when the snak
*Third Person's Pov* "Your Majesty, a bad news just came in from the University," the king's butler said to the king as soon as he entered the throne room. The king is currently reading some appeals from his people while her beautiful wife is checking the reports from the governors of the different provinces of Citrine. Both the king and queen stopped doing their things when they heard the butler's words. It has been days since they sent their daughter to study in the university and it's their first time to receive a news from there. Probably it's something really important. "What news is it Caflon?" the king asked. While the queen is listening intentl
*Third Person's Pov* As soon as they entered the infirmary, the queen's heart were torn apart when she saw her daughter's state. She's laying on a bed with bruises in her once fair white skin. Her pinkish lips turned pale and her golden hair almost fade it's glow."My daughter," she said in the middle of her tears. She caressed her daughter's cheeks who were as pale as her lips."Mommy is here my princess you don't have to be afraid."She held her daughter's left hand and gently kisses the top of it."Maurice, she will be fine," the king said to comfort his wife. He held his daughter's hand as well and kisses her forehead."Their will never be light in our lives if we lost you darling. So please wake up and come back to us. We beg you." The king wasn't able to stop himself from crying.
Princess Diane's Pov; It's almost dark when we found the hunter's home. Unlike the other side of the forest, the area where his house is located looks lively. I could hear some birds singing, squirrels roaming around and some ducks swimming on the lake near his small house. "Are you sure this is the hunter's lodge?" I asked Lyndon. It's really hard for me to believe that a strange snake hunter would live in this place. I mean, this place looks exactly like a happy home where a happy family could live freely. It might be far from the city but this place is actually the place where I want to stay whenever I'm stressed with palace duties. "Surely this is! I could still remember the scenario I have
Queen Maurice's Pov; "Your highness the venom is starting to circulate in her body. Even her bones were starting to go weaker because of it," the royal physician explained as soon as he's done checking my poor daughter. My feet suddenly felt weak and my tears were unstoppable. I almost fall to the ground, it's a good thing that Kaira is standing behind me and she was able to catch me before I even fall. "Your highness, the princess will recover. She's a strong girl, I'm pretty sure she will fight for her life," she assured me. "I agree with Kaira your highness. I have known the princess for years and I already know how brave she is," the royal physician said, trying to lighten up the burden in my heart. &nbs
*Queen Maurice's Pov;* "Where is that snake hunter?" my husband asked while clenching his jaw. As if on cue the palace door opened and a tall man in his mid 50's started walking towards our direction. Judging from the way he walks and how his shoulders tremble, I could hardly tell that he's nervous. "Your majesty-" He wasn't able to continue his words because the king approached him and punched his face. "How dare you trade my daughter's life for money? Don't you know how much this land would suffer if we lost her? This land will no longer see the light of the day!" he shouted angrily. "I'm so sorry your majesty, but please let me explain first," the man begged. I stood up from my seat and went to my husband. "Hon, let him spea
