Kiara's pov:

Eric was exultant to hear the news. I gave him details of everything I espied and what I think was the reason why he made such a surplus supply.

He was like a hungry dog eager to eat bones which are the news I fed him. He didn't care or ask how I was coping with these whole new scenarios or how much it affects my sanity. My options never mattered then and it still doesn't.

I dropped the telephone, with a sigh, disappointment laying bricks in me. I lurched when I noticed Lucas approaching me.

No, not him again!!!

His calamitous eyes rested on mine, perforating holes inside me. Holes repleting skepticism and hatred.

I gulped, the tension in me escalating beyond restraint. His impenetrable eyes and inscrutable countenance give little away but I sure knew what would happen next wouldn't be nice.

"I was just making an urgent call," I explained, without waiting for him to ask. I knew he must have seen me, so lying would only increase his curiosity.
