Placing the chart in the pockets of my pants, I will decide about them later on. I thought they were lost, but this gives me another way.

"Thank you," I say when I see her take a seat by my side.

"What are they for?" She asks me when I turn my head and look down on my lap. I'm not ready to tell her the truth about them just yet.

"Some pain killers," I lie when I see her start to place food on her plate before pouring something to drink into her glass.

"Are you in pain now? Hasn't your wolf healed you?" She asks me while I start to place some food on my plate.

"No, not now" is the only thing I come to think of as an answer when I feel her eyes on me, but she doesn't say anything else.

"Do you live here by yourself?" I ask her and try to get the focus away from me.

"No, I have a daughter as well. She is at a sleepover with her best friends," she says, and I turn my head to look at her.

"Do you have a mate then?" I ask her when she only shrugs her shoulders and continues to ea
