Chapter 26

Aron pov

Looking at the clothes Dane pulled up on the shore, I know she took them off by herself. She is trying to escape and has placed them in the water on purpose. She thinks she can get away from me, but no one has ever been able to escape me before.

"What do you think?" Dane asks me when we shift and look over at the other side of the river.

"She's alive and took them off and placed them back in the water," I state while picking up the clothes and taking a closer look at them.

"I'm guessing it as well, but I never thought she would be so brave and jump from the cliff right into the wild river," he says, and what I saw in her eyes before she jumped was fear and determination.

From the moment I saw her in my guards arms, I took her as small and fragile, even in my cell she never showed me any strength or fighting spirit. She was nothing else but weak in my eyes, but on the cliff she was different.
