Aelton, 1895.
“Why are we here?“ asked Lucas, glancing at the fiancee as he strode his right arm.
“I’ve prepared something for us,“ replied her beloved, a twenty-year-old young woman named Rosetta.
The tanned eyes of the eldest daughter of the Marquess Grasswall look upon her fiance with love. For her, that man with a firm jaw and a pointy nose was the only one in the world.
Lucas gave a slight smile in response to the beloved’s words, deciding not to ask again. The two of them walked to a place in the middle of the backyard of Coldina Castle.
After walking for about five minutes, the couple arrived in a glasshouse. At the corner of the park, it planted a whole range of plants that were not in the park. A special place belonging to Lucas's late mother, Irma.
“You prepared all this?” asked Lucas. His black eyes rolled around the edge of a glass house covered with Hydrangea flowers. It doesn’t blossom because it’s summer, but it will.
“No,” Rosetta answered calmly, shutting her eyes on the road to the middle of the greenhouse.
There a celadon table with a pair of chairs. On the table, a set of tea and snacks is as sweet as the fragrance of flowers available. Waiting to be enjoyed.
“We can get the tea inside, Rosetta,” says Lucas, sitting on one of the chairs after his fiance seated first.
Rosetta shook slowly, smiling sweetly with her red lips. “It’s too crowded there, Lucas. We can’t get any privacy except here.”
“Okay.“ Lucas answered.
Rosetta turned to the side, gesturing to one of the servants who was waiting nearby. Understood, the waiter stepped forward to pour Earl Grey’s Tea on each cup.
“Thank you,” Rosetta says, and then look back at her beloved, “Hope you don’t mind if we have a cup of tea together here.”
“Why should I reject?“ Lucas holds up his cup. “We always drink tea together.”
“Well, this time is different, you know,” Rosetta retorted with a pretense of sulking, but she soon regained a smile.
That red-haired woman was waving at one of the waiting attendants at the entrance to the greenhouse.
“Please bring it here,” Rosetta said.
After that, two servants cautiously stepped forward. Together they took a long wooden box and placed it in front of Lucas. There were intricate carvings on the surface of the box, but Lucas could tell what was inside.
Without needing her consent, Lucas opened the lid of the box. His eyes gleamed when they met a long iron that was forged so strong that even in the light of wax, it was known just how sharp the blade was.
Lucas picked it up for a closer look. Felt the grip on the black hilt of the sword. However, there were some unread spells. On the tip of the handle before the blade, there is a large yellow jewel.
“What’s this for?“ asked Lucas.
“Congratulations on the success of the Duke Riverdale family. It’s called an Archangel, my gift to you.”
Rosetta smiled sweetly. It’s nice to see Lucas lugging away for his gift. Though her fiancee was expressionless, Rosetta could see the sheen of interest in his black eyes.
“Thank you, Rosetta,” replied Lucas, then put the Archangel Sword back on the box, and closed it.
That six-foot man stood up, walked up to Rosetta, and laid down his hands.
“Then, will you dance with me?“ offer Lucas. The faint smile on his lips did not diminish, which made Rosetta unhesitant to answer that hands.
“Yes, my Lord.”
Rosetta’s fingers in Lucas's hands feel so warm. It’s even warmer than the air of the fireplace. That woman’s heart pounded as the lover led her out of the greenhouse to the center of the park that had a circular section.
Lucas laid his left hand on Rosetta’s waist, grasping her hand. Incidentally, there was faint music from the castle hall some 50 feet from the park.
“I thought we’d dance without the song,” Rosetta clink with a giggle.
Following classical music, the couple began to dance. Rosetta’s been spinning a few times. The red dress with the license of a carousel she wore crumbled as she moved. Until then her body was back in Lucas’s arms.
The two of them are kind of blending into the rhythm of the music. Fill each other’s spaces, move in accordance but also elegant, without making a single mistake like stepping on a pair’s foot.
“Lucas,” Rosetta whispered. Now the dance moves are quieter than before.
Rosetta’s hands clasped her beloved’s neck, feeling the warm breath of Lucas so close to her ear. One Lucas hand clasped Rosetta’s thin waist, while the other gently rubbed the soft, as white as that porcelain.
“Rosetta,” Lucas retorted with his electrifying voice.
There are dozens of women who could fall through the sound of the blond man. As the next Duke Riverdale, Lucas’s whereabouts are quite intense or conspicuous.
So it was a great honor for Rosetta to stand beside Lucasasa a future fiancee and wife. Instead of continuing the title of the father and becoming a Marchioness, Rosetta chose to be Lucas's wife.
“I love you, My Lord. Ups, no. I love you, Lucas,“ mutters Rosetta as Lucas’s face comes closer.
They looked at each other. Drowning in each other’s equally beautiful beady eyes. Clear black and clear brown, like a precious jewel in the South Mountain.
Lucas did not immediately answer. Instead, he busied with his fiance’s pretty face. With the almond eyes, a peacock’s eyelid, a wispy straight eyebrow, and red-eyed, sensuous lips, Rosetta are one of the women who are also the focal point of the high society.
“I love you too, Rosetta,“ replied Lucas.
The two man’s feet stopped. Whether Riverdale’s air was always cool surrounded by icy mountains or because the overwhelming feeling of love made both Rosetta and Lucas yearn for warmth.
Without hesitation, the two of them began to stick to their lips. Feel the softness and warmth it brings. Along with an uncontrollable heartbeat, the brief kisses grew hotter. Yearn for each other’s presence.
“Ah, Lucas,” Rosetta muttered as Lucas’s breath tickled the surface of her neck. But it did not diminish the kiss that the man had given her. Once in a while, the Rosetta bark was very sweet.
Then the two again joined lips. In the cold summer months of Riverdale, the two lovers couldn’t stay away.
Rosetta smiles between a peck and an ardent desire. In this world, she would think of nothing more than being all Lucas’s wife.
Lucas and Rosetta come to their senses when it is quiet. The classical music that had been heard has stopped. Leaving behind the buzzing of crickets that swarms the other night's insects. The kissing session ended softly, but left a little awkward. It’s not the first time Lucas and Rosetta did it. Still, the strange taste exists.“Ahem, how about we go back inside?“ offered Lucas, his cheek blush.Rosetta, who still fixed the breathing rate, nodded and then squeezed Lucas’s arm. Her cheeks felt so hot. By hand, Rosetta fixed up her dark red strands. When the door came between the back porch and the hall, all eyes were immediately drawn toward the couple. The young girls smiled shyly behind their hand fans, while the young men laughed quietly.“My Lord,” greeted some of the nobles that Lucas passed by, they bowing and bending knees.Lucas answered with a nod and then turned his eyes to the Rosetta that was able t
“Prince Michael Leon and Princess Sarah Elma have arrived!”The doorman’s voice echoed through the hall. A conversation that swelled to the ceiling came to an abrupt end. Everyone locked their lips tightly and turned their eyes toward the door. There a nineteen-year-old girl stood. In the tops of the silk dresses with the tops off the shoulder and the cropped skirt parts, Princess Sarah looked adorable.Especially with her dark hair so simple. Her bangs were left loose as well. No extravagant hair accessories, except a small tiara, as a symbol of her royal family.“Good evening everybody,“ greet Princess Sarah with a smile. The chubby cheeks that had always been reddish pinched when the corners of her lips curved.“Your majesty,” all nobles reply. Simultaneously bow or bend the knee. Saluting deeply. It wasn’t just the Princess who came. A tall boy in a black suit and a princely coat accompany her next door. The
Rosetta writhing on the bed. Feeling a warm breeze from the summer sun coming through the bedroom window. The curtains of that expensive fabric had already been opened. Become a natural wake-up call.Still writhing and growling for a while, Rosetta gets ready to sit down. Her half-closed eyes flicked, and then she saw the daily scene in his room.“Is My Lady awake? I’ve asked Anna to prepare breakfast. Would you like to take a shower right after?“ asked a series waiter named Flora. The girl with freckles on her cheek was already standing next to the bed.“Yes,” replied Rosetta. Then, two other servants, Karen and Silvia stepped out of the bathroom and stood at the front of the bed. They’re bowing.“The hot water will soon be filled. What fragrance you need today?” asked Karen.“Lavender, roses, and vanilla have been quite popular lately,” Silvia adds.“Just the roses.“ Rosetta answered. Her eyes roll
Rosetta stands in a dim hallway that relies solely on the light of the full moon as a light. She turned to the left and found no one there. Normally Flora or her knights took part, but this time she doesn’t know where they went. This place is strange. The walls were tanned and some of the paint was peeling. Paintings of unknown persons are displayed. Strangely, the eyes of the figure in the painting seemed to observe Rosetta from top to bottom.Hurry Rosetta step away. That woman’s step was heavy, so she looked down.“What?“ Rosetta muttered. She quickly searches for a window nearby and notices her reflection.A black linen dress with a frown on her shoulders and waist. The corset she used this time didn’t choke too much, but Rosetta felt claustrophobic. This strange atmosphere that she felt in the place is what caused it.“Necklace?”Rosetta touched her neck. Sensed a simple necklace with only one red pendant.
“I was very worried about you, Rosetta,” says Lucas. Now stand beside the bed where Rosetta sat on.Half an hour ago, the Marquess Grasswall castle was in a frenzy. Because after three days of sleep and a high fever, Rosetta did wake up. The doctor who called for just sighed relief, saying that Rosetta was as healthy as ever. Then, ten minutes earlier, Lucas came. Visiting Marquess’s home with hard breath to visit his fiance. So now they’re both in the room.“You needn’t bother coming,” Rosetta retorted. She wanted to turn the clock back to sleep, but when she saw someone who loved her, she pulled the plug.Lucas sat on the edge of the bed. He looks in a dark-haired girl who now looked whiter than paper. Not a time or two Rosetta has ever woken up from the dead like this.“You had another nightmare?”As a childhood friend who spent a lot of time together, Lucas also learned that Rosetta had an unknown disease. B
A single-inch step in a pair of heels made a sharp sound as Rosetta made her way down the stone staircase on the castle’s front porch. It was now eleven in the morning and she neglected the duties that were piling up in the workroom.“Good morning, Lady Rosetta!”The sound of a joyful call came from a young man standing next to the chariot, opening the door. The young man was wearing a black uniform with a white vest over his broad breasts and broad shoulders. A dark brown coat dangled from the side of his left shoulder.“Good morning, Alden,” greet Rosetta with a smile to her guardian knights at the ready. She paused and stood in front of the knight.“Your energy never runs out,” adds Rosetta. Her eye beads noticed a dark blue hair sticking out against gravity on his head. Insensible, Rosetta wiped Alden’s hair. Fixing every strand for a little bit.“La–Lady, what are you doing?” shrieked Alden freaking. The bl
“The young master is in his room. This way please.“The man in his mid-thirty guided Rosetta, Flora, and Alden in. Her rest of the unit is waiting outside.“Thanks, Rowson,” replied Rosetta, raising a nice smile. They passed through the long halls of the front castle building. Turning and heading east where Lucas’s workroom is.Rosetta threw a stare in the backyard of a building visible from the window. From here she can see a flower garden and a moment where remembered as her kiss and dance with Lucas. The feeling of shame but joy is pumping inside the inside of Rosetta’s chest. Unconsciously smiling stupidly alone. Good thing nobody’s watching. The door to Lucas’s workroom was made of mahogany, towering before Rosetta. Rowson knocks three times before entering. After saying a few words, Rowson let Rosetta in. This time without Flora and Alden.“Good morning, My Lord,” said Rosetta curtsey.Lu
Two weeks later, Rosetta and Lucas were in the Capital of Aelton, named Evening, with half of Duke Riverdale territory but the most densely populated region in the entire kingdom.Got two days left before the party, Rosetta uses it to meet fellow Ladies. Gossiping about things, even exchanging information.Though the girls smiled and laughed at each other, they secretly competed strictly to show who would be the center of the party.Tonight, the debutante party is being held in the palace hall. Dozens of nobles from all over the Kingdom were present, simultaneously ending the social season and welcoming the fall.Rosetta spent two hours in the bathroom. The water has a floral scent and red rose petals sprinkled with a great fragrance.“Lady, tonight I risk my life to make you the most beautiful girl in the whole kingdom!” Flora says, eager to comb the red hair of Rosetta that reaching her waist.“I prefer to be
