We walked back into the house only to hear giggles and laughter trailing down the hall.

“Steady him Alpha," her voice warned.

“Why,” I asked.

‘His wife has asked me to help her be “brave”, I can not deny this woman that.’ she insisted. I placed a palm on Landry's chest.

“Dont fuck it up with your woman, old man,” I warned.

“What?” he asked.

“Yours has asked mine to help her be brave, just prepare yourself and understand that Bri can't help but inspire.”

We walked into Bri and Mela chatting animatedly as Bri was weaving Mela’s hair away from her scared face and into intricate braids. Mela looked like a Viking queen. Stepping aside I caught Landry's expression, grief tangled his features. Ten years the woman stayed and he was still a mess over it. His eyes softened. Bri never skipped a beat as she whispered something in Mela’s ear that had her laughing out loud. The satisfied swell in my Moonbeam’s chest resonated in mine as pride.

I knew these two ladies were going to get along like a house on fire!!! I love that Bri decided to show her scars, and that she bolstered Mela's confidence!!! And Boo as the last line of defense is both funny and endearing. :)
