3. Amnesia is not an option

Erlangga continued to watch Andien, who chose to remain silent.

"You don't have amnesia. Why are you pretending?"

"Because I have a reason," Andien replied.

"A self-defeating reason. Do you know how you are now?"

Andien shook her head and looked like she didn't care.

"You attempted suicide but you failed. What you got was a disfigured face," Erlangga explained.

Andien gave Erlangga a hateful look.

"My plan wouldn't have failed if no one had brought me here," Andien said coldly.

"That's right. Unfortunately, the one who found you is a boy with a high level of care."

Andien was silent but her eyes looked at Erlangga curiously.

"You said my face was damaged. How badly?"

Erlangga smiled and thought that the patient he was dealing with was a woman who prioritized logic so Erlangga had no reason to delay giving an explanation.

Erlangga watched the expression Andien showed as she watched her face through the mirror.

"How much does the doctor think you've changed after plastic surgery?" Andien asked after a long look in the mirror.

"We won't do anything until you tell us who you are and the police know your true identity," Erlangga replied calmly.

"You mean you'll leave me like this so the police will stop asking questions?"

"That's right."

"Then I'll make the doctor regret taking care of me."

Andien's hand movements were so fast that Erlangga had no time to prevent the mirror from shattering on the skin of the face that still had wounds that had not yet dried.

"What are you doing!" Erlangga shouted angrily but Andien only gave him a smile before losing consciousness.

Erlangga immediately called for a nurse through the device near Andien's head.

"Prepare the operating room and get the patient ready for aesthetic surgery!"

Erlangga was so angry for acting rashly that his voice sounded harsh when giving orders to the nurses.

Assisted by several doctors, they checked Andien's health so that nothing would harm Andien's health.

After confirming Andien's condition, Erlangga headed to his office where he could monitor the results of Andien's examination including determining how he would repair Andien's damaged face.

Erlangga was still standing in front of the screen that showed the shape of Andien's face after getting the woman's health report when his ears heard a knock on the door.

"Come in!"

Erlangga turned around and saw Hanna walking in alone.

"Where's Keanu?"

"I hope you don't mind Keanu sleeping in my room. What happened?"

"Come here. What do you think I should do?"

Like Erlangga, Hanna was also seriously looking at Andien's medical report.

"Did you find out her identity?" Hanna asked without looking away.

"She refuses to say who she is and where she's from, but has a strong desire for her face to be different," Erlangga said.

"So she doesn't have amnesia. What did she do that made you decide to do the surgery? Aren't you worried about someone suing?"

"I've consulted with the legal department. It's impossible to leave the patient like this without doing anything. At least I anticipated by recording the patient's request," Erlangga replied.

Erlangga then explained while Hanna furrowed her brows and laughed softly.

"I agree with Sister Erna's opinion. She will take revenge with a different appearance," Hanna said while nodding her head.

"Do you have an idea of what she'll look like?" Hanna asked again.

"I have. I'm just trying to improve on what's there anyway," Erlangga replied.

"You are the expert. I just asked you not to make her look like Ratih," Hanna said, causing Erlangga to turn to her.

"There's no way I could make her look like me even if my hands could do it," Erlangga said in a voice that suddenly contained a deep longing.

"I'm sorry. I came to see you at the same time to ask permission to bring Keanu back to mama's house. You don't mind, do you?"

"No, I don't. I don't want him to stay in the hospital for too long either. Tell Keanu that I'll pick him up after my work is done."

"Hemm."

Hanna left Erlangga alone while she went back to her office and hoped it wouldn't take too long for him to pick up her son.

It had been two days since Kenan left Andien and decided to go on his revenge mission against the man who had made his family miserable.

"Kenan, have you found out where Andien is?" Mark asked when they returned to the hotel.

Kenan's eyebrows rose as he answered Mark's question. "No, I didn't. I wasn't the one who wanted her to leave. You seem to care about her a lot."

"I care about you and hope you don't get into legal trouble, Kenan," Mark replied causing Kenan to lift his face and look at Mark sharply.

"I've checked the cctv footage of this hotel. There is no sign that Andien left the hotel," Mark said.

"So?"

"The CCTV only captured Andien heading towards the bridge that leads to the sea and it doesn't show her returning to the hotel after you," Mark replied.

"Me? You're accusing me of throwing Andien overboard?"

Kenan laughed loudly but not for long as he immediately looked at Mark. "I did want Andien to suffer but not die. Order everyone to search for Andien's whereabouts!"

"Okay."

"Make sure not to cause a scene let alone let Vishnu know that his son is not with me."

Mark just nodded before he decided to leave to meet his men while Kenan went straight to his hotel room.

Kenan checked Andien's suitcase of clothes to make sure that Andien had never returned to the room let alone taken her personal bag with her.

"Everything is still here. I can't believe that she was so stupid to leave all the luxuries she could enjoy," Kenan muttered in disbelief.

Kenan's hands were on his waist while his facial expression looked unreadable when Mark came to see him.

"I thought something was missing but I didn't know," Kenan said.

Mark noticed all of Andien's belongings on the floor. Unlike Kenan who didn't notice right away, Mark was quicker to figure it out but he kept it to himself.

"If Andien didn't return to the hotel, how could she take it without Kenan knowing? Did he get suspicious before?" Mark thought to himself.

"Do you know what's missing?" asked Kenan as he saw the frown on Mark's face.

Mark shook his head. "No, I don't. All the identity cards and bank cards are still complete as well as the apartment key that you gave her as a gift."

Kenan nodded and picked up the key to the luxury apartment he had given Andien as a birthday present when they had only been acquainted for two months.

"Did she go back to her old apartment?" Kenan said softly.

Kenan then took his cell phone and called Andien's close friend. He wanted to know whether Andien contacted him or not because Andien and her friend had lived together.

"Linda, have you been contacted by Andien?" Kenan asked as soon as he heard Linda answer his phone.

"Kenan? How could she contact me after she was with you," Linda squealed in disbelief.

"Andien left her cell phone in the room. I think she called you when she went out," Kenan replied reasonably.

"You're very considerate and I'm happy for Andien. I would have told you if Andien had called me."

None of Andien's friends knew where she had gone so Kenan was furious and threw Andien's cell phone on the floor.

"Kenan, could it be that Andien decided to kill herself?" asked Mark hesitantly.

"Why would she kill herself. She's stupid but she's not a woman who would lose her life," Kenan replied sarcastically.

"Then what are you going to do?"

"Make Andien see and feel when her parents suffer. I'm sure at that time Andien will come to see me willingly," Kenan said in a hissing voice.
