Chapter Forty

I got to leave the hospital a few days later. I expected to go to our temporary wing when I returned to the packhouse. Instead, I got to go home. Our home was fixed. I was so excited. The other wing was nice but the bed was much smaller. "How did you guys have time to get this done?" I asked.

"We had the contractors working on it before the party, but we told them to hurry it up because we wanted you to be comfortable," Arion explained.

"I am so happy to be back here," I smiled.

"We have a surprise for you," Arrow chirped. He took my hand leading me down the hall. "Ok, Babe, close your eyes," he looked at Arrow who was grinning from ear to ear.

"Ok," I said. "You better not play any tricks on me, I don't think I am ready yet.

"No tricks, we promise," they said together. I covered my eyes. I heard a door open and they led me inside. "Ok, you can open them," they said sounding excited.
