Grace White, a weak werewolf with cowardly alpha blood that runs through her veins, is an obedient daughter that strives to stay out of her father’s way and pay her stepmom's hospital fees. Though living with an abusive father, Gracey always finds the time to stop and appreciate life and the joy of being alive. However, when her stepmom’s hospital fees begin to triple, her stresses begin to consume every ounce of joy she has left. Being a girl who lives a life grounded on morals, the thought of selling herself as a house maiden/servant, as her father suggested, to earn enough money, sounds absurd at first. Yet when there seems to be no other option, and her mom’s life hangs in the balance, she decides to sell herself in the largest and most esteemed auction that El Salvador hoists every year. Her mixed feelings towards the auction become subdued, as the moon Goddess gifts her the person she has always dreamt of having. But will he accept her, or hurt her much more than life itself? …but whatever he chooses to do, he needs to remember that: Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

The money, the clothes, the jewellery, the influence, and even the invitation to attend balls such as this one. Everyone seems to be having a blast, except the tiny, crumbling girl that sits in a maiden’s outfit soaked with liquor. 2 years agoA teardrop falls from my eye – staining the papers that I hesitate to sign. My fingers gently grasp the pen, but I have the inability to make the pen move. My head knows that if I sign this, I will give away everything I have worked hard for; that my freedom will be snatched away from me, making me a puppet on a string. My dreams that I longed to achieve will become deserted lands, and the finish line to achieving them will disintegrate before I could even start my journey to make them come true.My heart, however, knows that there is no other way. My heart longs for my family to become whole again, it longs to see my stepmom walking around the kitchen again – fixing us up some of her famous delicious dishes. The need to see my dad happy, to have him finally love me back after all these years – my heart caves in. I close my eyes, taking a deep breath – my heart wins over my head again. For the thousandth time, I put others’ needs above my own; I trash my dreams, goals, and

The next daySitting next to her on the hospital bed, I hear her fate breaths – she is struggling to fight for her next breath. My heart aches to watch her laying still in this place. Her ward is cold, freezing cold like she is in a mortuary. I shake my head to shake away that disturbing thought.I examine my mother and her ghostly pale appearance – Gosh! I am going to miss her. It saddens me to see her like this. Believe it or not, this woman was the type who would not sit down. She had always been moving up and about – if you needed something, you were to just ask, and she would be running to get it done. She was always so busy and full of life…now, she sleeps most days. I mostly come in to watch her sleep – she is too weak to stay awake, so I let her rest. I prefer her to sleep when I come to visit, I do not want her to see the absolute sadness and fear I have in my eyes – the fear of losing her.I hear her take in a deep breath this time – an unusual deep breath and for a moment
