"Enter," Grandfather said. His tone was old but authoritative.

Cindy stepped in and stood at the door, her face a mixture of frustration and sadness. "I am tired, Grandpa. Damon is not the person you think he will become after marriage. I prepared food, and I waited like a good wife should, but he disappointed me again," Cindy's voice trembled with the weight of her stress and disappointment.

"My girl, what happened? What did he do now?" Grandfather asked, his tone softening with concern. "I've seen you making food for him. Has he been rude to you?" His love for Cindy was as strong as his love for Damon, and seeing her distressed pained him.

"Rude? No," Cindy replied, shaking her head. "He didn’t even come home. He promised he would, which is why he forced me to leave the party early. My friend said he left the party soon after me, but he didn’t come here, nor did he go back to the villa. Where could he have gone? How can I not know where he is?"
