Chapter Twenty-Four

HEAVEN

There was a smile on my face as I fluttered my eyes open the following morning. A low whimper escaped from my lips as I stretched my limbs and stood up to get ready for my first day at work.

Standing in front of my closet, I realized that I didn't really have office wears. I needed to show up for work, I just have to make do with the few clothes I have. I would go shopping when I receive my first salary.

I knew my husband was an early riser, so I had to set an alarm in order for me to get ready early but by the time I was done and was walking out of the house, the garage was empty except for two extra cars that he didn't take always.

Jerk ass.

Why would he just leave me like that without saying anything?

'What were you expecting? You thought he magically became a changed man?' my inner conscience seemed to know him better than I did.

It was very stupid of me to think that he was going to wait for me.
