Chapter 25

When Josephine stepped into the ballroom with Lucas, it was not long before the people present started gushing on them and those who recognized who Lucas was, wanted to get close to him, but Lucas placed his hand around Josephine as if to signify that he was hers and that made Josephine smile. There were hundreds of eyes staring at them, some which were the people she recognized from the party of the night where she had ran out of Brian’s apartment and the looks on their faces made Josephine hold her head high.

Taking her focus away from the people, Josephine felt her heart go heavy at the sight of the ballroom and her she fought back the tears that threatened to spill from her eyes. It was exactly the way she had imagined it to be and everything looks perfect, except for the fact that she wasn’t the bride anymore.
