Chapter 38

Josephine moved her feet to where Lucas was and they both started to walk towards the door. Just as they were about to reach, the front door flung open, revealing a young lady with smiles spread across her lips and without sparing a word, she jumped on Lucas, hugging him where he also hugged her back.

“You didn’t tell me you would be coming today,” the lady said after they disengaged from the hug and made a pout which Josephine found cute.

“Well, surprise!” Lucas said and smiled before the lady eyes fell on Josephine.

Now she remembers. It was the first day being out with Lucas. He had brought her here and told her to sit in the car. From what he said that day, the lady was his daughter and one does not need to be married before they could have a daughter.

Josephine noticed how the girl clinged unto Lucas like he would get snatched away and she heard her ask Lucas, “Who is she?”

Josephine folded her hands below and waited for Lucas to introduce her.

“My responsibility,” Lucas answered
