Chapter 37

Josephine stepped out of her room and made her way downstairs. She let out a yawn and stretched herself before descending the stairs. When she had woke up, she didn’t meet Lucas beside her so she thought he must have left for work but as soon as she took the last step, she was surprised to see him there but even more surprised that he was putting on an apron and setting the table. Josephine would have thought that he was only setting the table for himself but on looking twice, she didn’t think so.

As if noticing her presence, Lucas turned to look at her and he greeted with a smile, “Morning princess. How was your night?” He then removed the apron and put it aside.

Josephine almost blushed at his humor and she replied him back with a smile, “Good. Morning to you too.”

Taking few steps towards him, she folded her hands behind her and looked at the table where the food was laid. Moving her eyes to look at him, she asked, “Are you expecting someone today?”
