Chapter 47

Josephine pushed the door to Bloom’s Restaurant open and it gave a tinkling sound. Her eyes scanned around and it came to fall on Matilda who waved at her with a smile on her face. Josephine smiled back and moved her feet to the table where she was and she bent her body a bit to give her a hug before sitting opposite her.

“You are looking so mhhmm,” Matilda complimented in a funny way.

“Come on! The weather is hot,” Josephine said and smiled. She is putting on an armless creamy plain midi dress.

“And so are you. Jose La Hot,” Matilda said and they both laughed.

When the laughter died down, Josephine asked her, “Why did you ask me to see you here?”

Matilda looked up at her and brushed her shoulders before answering, “Nothing serious. I just want to get out of the house and have fun with my friend.”
