“Okay, did you just drag me into something I am not aware of?” Candice asked when she settled down beside Matilda.

“Jose just said you offered to help her with a job. Is that right?” Matilda asked and Candice tilted her head to the side a bit.

She looked at Josephine and asked, “Did I? Because I don’t think I remember.”

Josephine huffed and said to Matilda, “I only said that because I didn’t want to go back to working there.”

“So, is this some kind of reunion?” Candice asked.

“We are just having a girls’ day out,” Matilda replied. “What are you doing here?”

“I came to plan a little surprise party somewhere around here. The guy is going to propose to his girlfriend tonight and he hasn’t told her yet.”
