Chapter 4

It is Sunday evening and we have reached the gates of the training territory. It is right in the middle of nowhere. There is a huge forest behind this training school and beyond this forest there seems to be endless mountain ranges. We are literally at the entrance, that is, we cannot see inside the training school. I wonder what happens in this training school. Do they brainwash us against the human societies? I chuckle at my own joke but hide it with a cough when Alexandria glares at me.

We arrived here an hour ago but the guards kept us waiting saying that we would be granted permission only when someone comes to receive us from inside the training school. Sounds weird and creepy.

"Why are we told to wait here, uncle? Can't we wait inside where it would be a lot more comfortable rather than being observed like a bunch of guinea pigs by these guards?" whines Alexandria making me roll my eyes at her spoiled brat behaviour.

'One of the elder's apprentice will come to receive you all into the school they will give you a form, make sure to fill it truthfully as it will be the reference for your evaluation training," informs Delta Alex as he gestures towards a guy or rather a man with a body builder like physique walking towards us.

The man introduces himself as some Elder's apprentice and after a hushed conversation,Delta Alex is told to leave us trainees here and return to his pack lands. Delta Alex looks at each one of us and links us with a " Be alert and mingle with other pack members" as a farewell message before he shifts into his wolf and starts running towards the direction we came from.

Then the newly arrived apprentice wolf hands us each a booklet which we are told to fill truthfully. The booklet consists of many questions regarding name, parents' name, parents' rank, pack name, hobbies, age, mental/ psychic abilities, physical abilities regarding our shifting, etc.

Ifill in the details only when I read a clause that says that this information will only be used for the purpose of evaluation training and will not be disclosed to anyone other than the council elders. I am the last one to finish filling up the booklet which causes Alexandria to roll her eyes at me. I ignore her and give my booklet to the wolf apprentice. Such a mannerless wolf, he didn't even tell us his name.

"From today you are not the Samara Pack wolves but only first year trainee students who will addresseachsenior of yours with respect. Even if you are an Alpha's son or daughter you are to address the senior wolves as Sir or Ma'am, is that clear?" instructs the Apprentice wolf.

"Yes Sir," we reply.

The apprentice just nods and tells us to follow him. We enter a huge old building which is renovated to look like a modern-day school and dormitory setting. Me and Alexandria are shown towards the she wolves' dormitories which are to the left of the building and are informed that our uniforms and basic amenities are already delivered to our assigned room. So, me and Alexandria start walking towards our dormitories where we are greeted by a blonde, she-wolf who asks us our name and gives us the keys to our rooms.

I sigh in relief when she gives keys to both me and Alexandria meaning that she is not my roommate. I wonder if we have some other fresher trainee as our roommate but then the Blonde wolf clears all our doubts when she says that we are supposed to share our room with a senior she-wolf so that they can help us get used to the rules of this school.

I feel good now that Alexandria is away from me. My room is at the second floor. The staircase is wooden with a very old worldly design but appears to be strong. I hesitantly step on the first step and it creaks only a little so I start walking upstairs to the second floor. I have my keys but still decide to knock on the door as I can sense that my roommate is already inside the room.

Before I knock on the door, it is opened by a she-wolf dressed in a tank top and shorts. The green eyed, ash blonde haired girl just stares at me and my clothes before taking in a deep sniff and allowing me to enter the room. I sniff myself and wonder if I am stinking but then quickly brush off my thoughts as it is quite normal to stink after a 2 day long run in the wolf form.

My roommate sits on the edge of the bed which is far from the door. I go and stand near the bed which is closer to the door and look around the room. There is a door which I guess leads to the bathroom. There is a couch near my roommate's bed with a coffee table. A wardrobe for her clothes is at her side of the bed and mine is near my bed near the door. I guess she purposely chose a bed which is far from the door.

She just sits and stares at me so I take an initiative and decide to introduce myself.

"Hello, I am Sierra Borris from the Samara Pack which is to the west of this training school."

"Hi, I am Tatiana Lupe from the Blue Moon Pack. It is to the south east of this training ground." She replies, still staring at me and taking deep breaths.

"I will take a shower and freshen up", I say uncomfortably as she is still staring at me.

My sentence brings her out of her thoughts, I guess, as she blinks repeatedly and apologises for her staring.

"Whose sweatshirt is that?", she asks.

"It is my mate's," I say, frowning at her direct question but also sure of myself that Aztec is my mate. I do feel a little guilty for lying.

My roommate frowns but doesn't reply as she excuses herself and goes out of the room making me wonder if she has met Aztec. It brings out a surge of jealousy inside me thinking of her and Aztec but I empty my mind of those thoughts and go take a shower.

After a quick nap, I head out of my dormitory in search of some food. It is dark outside, which means it should be dinner time soon. When we arrived here, I was so tired that I couldn't think of anything else apart from taking a shower and catching a few hours' sleep. I think of asking that blonde wolf aboutany kitchen or dining hall but she is not at her place which leaves me to wander through these corridors.

I am sure that I am out of the girl's living area as here I can see many girls and boys talking to each other. Looking around in the hopes of seeing any familiar face I come across none. Aztec should be here somewhere or are these people new trainees like me? Looking at their number I am sure that there are some seniors also present here.

I can feel a presence behind me and I turn around in time to look at a familiar brown-eyed boy talking to none other than the Tatiana Lupe. No wonder she asked me about that sweatshirt. She must have smelled Aztec's scent on it. I feel so jealous at the moment that I start marching towards them. Looks like they are having some secret conversation as Aztec doesn't even feel my presence or scent me as I am nearing them. I tap on his shoulder and as soonasheturns, I engulf him in a hug forgetting about Tatiana.

Goddess! I have missed him so much. I can't believe that I actually met him the first day I came here. He hugs me back with the same ferocity.

"I missed you so much. How are you? How is your training going on? Did you miss me too? You did not even contact me once. Why so? Okay, I understand that we aren't allowed to carry phones in the school. Is everything alright? Are you alright?", I fire my questions without giving him a chance to answer.

"Hush, easy, calm down, Sierra. I am fine and I missed you too, katyonak," he says quickly kissing the side of my head. He then holds me at an arm's length and observes me. His intense gaze makes me blush and just like that I am back in his arms again. It really feels good to be back in his arms after such a long time.

A throat clearing breaks our intimate reunion and we both turn to see Tatiana standing there quite uncomfortably and now I remember their secret conversation. Before I ask anything, Aztec introduces us.

"Hey Lupe, this is Sierra Borris, my packmate and the beta's daughter. Sierra, this is Tatiana Lupe, daughter of the Alphas of the Blue Moon pack. She is here for her warrior as well as Luna training," says Aztec somewhat proudly and I wonder what's going on between them. I also notice that Aztec did not introduce me as his mate. I brush off my suspicion thinking that he must be waiting for his birthday before confirming our relationship. Remembering my manners, I quickly mutter a hello and inform Aztec that she is my roommate.

"Oh,that's great. Tatiana will help you get accustomed to the rules of this training ground. She will also help you in your training, right, Tatiana?", asks Aztec.

"Sure," mutters Tatiana and excuses herself to go and stand with a group of boys who look to be older than me and Aztec. One of them has dark blue eyes and messy black hair. He looks taller, almost 6 feet even in his relaxed stance. Something about him feels familiar but still unknown. Our eyes collide at this moment and it makes a shiver run down my spine.

"Sierra, hey, what's wrong baby?" asks Aztec effectively waking me up from my staring contest with the blue-eyed stranger.

"No nothing, Lyubov Moya. I was just wondering about those guys with whom Tatiana is talking? Don't you think that they are quite older than us?" I ask Aztec trying to sound as casual as possible.

"One of them is her brother, Connor Lupe and the other one is her brother's best friend but I don't know his name. Connor is here for his Alpha training and his friend is an apprentice of Elder Raoul. He is from the Mystic Shadow pack. The Blue Moon and the Mystic Shadow Pack are very good friends," replies Aztec but his answer makes me more curious about this nameless blue-eyed stranger.

"Did you have anything to eat? I can take you for dinner. You will need all your strength to start with your training tomorrow," asks Aztec again breaking my train of thoughts. The grumbling of my stomach answers his question embarrassing me and causing Aztec to laugh.

Feeling someone's eyes on me I turn to look at the blue-eyed stranger who has his eyes set on me. It feels like his eyes are staring into my soul. It is clear that he heard our conversation as he has a smirk on his face while staring at me. I lick my dry lips and shiver when his eyes move to my lips. I shiver and quickly turn towards Aztec as he pulls me in the direction of what I assume must be the dining room.
