"What?" he growls and then pulls me up by my arm gently yet firmly and pulls me close so that our chests are touching. My nipples harden at the feel of his hard chest. My body always betrays me! Here, I am trying to have a serious conversation but my body is busy preparing itself for her mate's touch.

How gross is it? Pathetic even.

"Tell me, mate and this time take a pause in between," he whispers in my ears no doubt noticing my body's response to his touch. My suspicions are confirmed when he nibbles on my ears. I close my eyes and take a deep breath, letting his scent into my body before preparing myself to speak.

"Do you think of me as a power-hungry mate?" I ask finally not actually knowing of how he will react.
