EPILOGUE

FENRIS

I am flipping the pancake carefully making sure that it becomes golden brown and doesn't burn when Sierra's loud scream echoes in the house. Her thought projections are all chaotic and I can sense only panic and fear.

Almost throwing the pan in my hands, I quickly shut the burner and climb up the stairs two at a time to our pup's room from where I can hear my mate's chaotic thoughts. Throwing open the door, I look around for threats but find none. Sierra's gaze is wild with fear and tears are running down her cheeks as she stares at the crib in which our new born is sleeping soundly.

"What's wrong," I whisper walking towards her and wiping away her tears, not wanting to wake up the pup. She's too sensitive to even the smallest of sounds.

"She's not here. She wasn't there when I came in here to check in on her," my mate screams, waking up our daughter who immediately starts crying.

"She's here, Sierra. She's in the crib," I pick up our little Kotyonok and take her to Sierra who'
