My little pet always had hounds sniffing around her.

Adrian was no threat to me, but Alvis...he was bad news. He doesn't seem like the kind of person who'd give up on their mate. And he was strong.

When he was near Lindsey, I instantly knew he was her mate, which irritated me. I wanted to kill him right then, burn him to ashes but restrained myself. It wasn't the right time. I had to wait patiently because Lindsey didn't trust me yet. I couldn't rush things with her this time.

I saw him grabbing Lindsey and demanding answers from her, so I couldn't help but interrupt them. As I watched him touching her, my blood was boiling, and I could feel my heart pounding in my chest.

"You! this isn't about you. This is between Lindsey and me, so stay out of it," Alvis Dalton snarled.

"Ah, is that so? Looks to me like Lindsey is done with this conversation, so why don't you take a hike in the woods? It'll cool your head," I suggested.
