I stood in my room, shaking, when Sue told me about Betty's death. I wanted to take revenge on her because she was responsible for my murder in my previous life. But I didn't want her to die like this!

"Oh dear, I am so sorry. You must feel awful. She was your best friend," Sue said, her eyes full of tears.

I felt sad, yes. But I won't pretend like I didn't think Betty had that coming for her. She was a liar and a traitor. I wanted her to be punished.

But death? That's quite extreme.

"Of course. She was my cousin and my best friend since childhood. This is a tragedy," I said.

"Everyone will be gathered in the field today so Adrian's father can get to the bottom of her murder," Sue said grimly.

"Adrian's father? Why him? Betty is part of my pack," I raised an eyebrow.

"Adrian found her dead in her bedroom."
