"Adrian did what?" I exclaimed.

I had to go out of town to take care of some business for my pack, and when I came back, I heard about Betty's murder.

I didn't waste any time and ran to my father, the Alpha.

"Unfortunately, the evidence against him was quite damning, so I had to throw him in the dungeon until we could find more evidence. Things are not looking so good for Adrian, I'm afraid." My father shook his head in disappointment and handed me Betty's letter.

Her last words.

I read the whole thing twice. Anger flowed through me. Gosh, Adrian. How can he be so stupid to plan something like that against Lindsey?

"I need to go see him right now," I said grimly. I said goodbye to my father and then headed to the dungeon. I couldn't believe it. My little brother had many character flaws, but was he a murderer? I doubt it.
