"Dawn?" Logan raised his eyebrows.

"Yes, how do you know her?" I asked.

Logan hesitated. "It's nothing. We kind of had a thing," he said.

I looked at him with surprise. Somehow, I couldn't imagine Logan having a thing with Dawn. It's not that she was out of his league or anything. On the contrary, Logan was handsome with his piercing gray eyes and sharp jaw. He could easily get any girl if he really tried, but somehow I couldn't imagine him trying. Especially not with a girl like Dawn, who was a little out there.

"What? You don't believe me?" He chuckled.

"I do. I just don't understand. How did you meet her, and why didn't you tell me?" I asked.

Logan shrugged. "It was nothing, really. I met her at a summer camp last year, and we had a short fling. She wanted to continue dating afterward, but I didn't feel like having a long-distance relationship with her, so I said no. I had no idea she was going to move into this university."
