Chapter Ten

JANE'S POV

Even though she was certain that the result would turn out to be negative, she still felt anxious. Her whole body ached badly and she also had mild fever.

She has been struggling to get some sleep since the doctor declared her pregnant.

Suddenly, she remembered an old technique her grandma always used on her whenever she had trouble sleeping, she will try it out. Hopefully she will get some sleep afterwards.

She was almost dozing off when she heard the door open and madam Joan was standing beside her with a package in her hands.

“I got you some pain-reliever for the pains and fever”

I took the pill from her hand and was about to gulp it down with the glass of water in my hand when another wave of nausea hit me.

Mrs. Joan noticed this and asked “Madam, are you okay?”

“Ugh! It's nothing serious. Just a little discomfort in my stomach”

Mrs Joan frowned, “Doesn't look so to me. Have you had your period this month?”
