Chapter Thirteen

BEN’S POV

He was just about calling the family doctor when the servant informed him of his arrival.

“I was about to call you right now,” He said, stretching out his hand to the doctor for a handshake.

“That makes two of us,” The doctor happily remarked.

“I have lots of patients to attend to, so I might as well get going,” he said, handing him the white envelope containing the test result.

Ben released a cocky smile. He was finally going to send her out of the house without his father's interruption.

He was about to open the envelope when a servant sauntered into the living room to tell him that his father was waiting for him in his study room.

His father was used to calling him into the study room when he had something very important to discuss with him.

He quickly tucked the letter into his back pocket as he made for the study room.

He notifies his father of his presence with a choky cough.

“Have a seat, Benjamin. I have been waiting for you”
