Chapter 43

Lorena's POV

I stared at Hazel, waiting for her to get her composure. Finally, she did and she got a chair and sat next to me.

"What is going on Lorena? How? When?"

I took a deep breath and faced her.

"I was cleaning and then I followed Kaya to school. While I was there, I got a text from. Marcus."

I suddenly saw Hazel's face twist in disgust.

"Marcus? What does he want?"

"He...wanted to... well... talk."

Hazel looked at me suspiciously and I immediately knew that that was my cue to keep talking.

"He texted that he wanted to see me and that it was important, so I told the driver to drop me infront of Willis' Coffee shop and I went to see him."

Now Hazel was glaring angrily at me.

"Is this what I think this is?"

I however, ignore her and continued to tell my little story.

"We talked and he said he wanted me back again but I told him I wasn't interested. He swore that he had changed but luckily, his lies didn't stay hidden for long and I walked out of there."
