Chapter 42

Hazel's POV

After classes I headed to the library. I had so much school work to cover up as my drama with ghosts and voices had set me behind.

I found a quiet place to sit and began to do my homework. The day had been tiring. I had been avoiding Jasper all day. I had become an eel overnight; any time he would try to walk up to me, I'd slip away.

I was half way through my work when I felt a vibration in my pocket. I pulled out my phone and the screen lit up; it was a text from Logan.

"I'm in front of the school. Where are you?"

I sighed and closed my book. I was a little nervous. Logan was taking me to see the seer and I still hadn't found out what Chelsea wanted me to do.

I packed up my books and left the library but not before checking to see if the coast was clear. I didn't want to bump into Jasper again. It was hard enough that he liked me and I was mated to Logan. I just didn't want things to get complicated and weird between us.
