Chapter 45

Logan's POV

I had parked the car up and gone inside. I felt the weight of Hazel's words in my mind. I just wanted her back. How could I prove to her that I had changed?

I headed upstairs; my head was throbbing terribly. On my way, I heard a creak. The door to Hazel's room opened and Lorena came out. I could feel my muscles tense up. I just wanted to see her again.

Lorena passed me and greeted me but I grunted a reply and continued up the stairs. I was just a few more steps away from Hazel's door. The battle in my mind intensified. Did I really want to bother her again? She needed to rest and she had made it clear to me that I had to break up with Cassie if she was ever going to take things serious with me.

It was settled then. With pain in my heart, I walked passed her door and headed up to my room. I ignored all the maids and told them not to bother bringing me any food. As I went inside, I shut the door firmly and flopped on my bed. I was exhausted but my mind was running wild.
