Amelia's POV

Claire looked up and smiled, a hint of excitement in her eyes. "What about her?" she asked, her tone gentle.

She was probably excited about the fact that what we were doing might be considered as bonding, since I wanted to talk about someone else with her. Gossiping was something that would excite anyone, especially when you talk about someone who you don't like.

I smiled back, feeling a mix of curiosity and exhaustion. "I just want to know more about her," I admitted, my voice echoing with exhaustion.

Claire nodded understandingly, setting aside the cloth she had been using to clean my neck. "Well, you shouldn't give a shit about Ramona," she said bluntly, her tone firm.

I blinked in surprise at her candidness, feeling a flush of embarrassment wash over me. "I just... I want to understand," I protested weakly, feeling foolish for my curiosity.
