Alpha Kayden's POV

Ramona stood in the doorway, her presence, a disruption in the calm of my chamber. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at her sudden intrusion, a sigh escaping my lips as I watched her hesitantly step inside.

"What do you want?" I asked, my tone firm and without any hint of warmth. I had no patience for her games, especially not now when my mind was already filled with conflicting emotions.

I stood up and walked towards the window, putting both my hands in each pocket. The view seemed peaceful enough, the only thing was that I was interrupted by Ramona, someone I was trying desperately to avoid.

She smiled softly, seemingly oblivious to my irritation as she approached me with careful steps. "I noticed you seemed upset," she said, her voice gentle as she reached out to touch my arm.

I shrugged her off, my gaze hardening as I took a step back. "I don't need your concern," I replied curtly, my frustration bubbling beneath the surface.
