Chapter 20: Clash

She threw a pillow at me but before it could hit me, I shut the door and went downstairs.

"How could you just tell me this?" I could feel that Leona is angry at me just by looking at her eyes.

I went to her room as soon as I heard her car arrive. She has been sleeping office these past few days because of her busy schedule as a mayor.

"You were busy," I told her in my lowest voice.

"Even so." She looked so frustrated. "How is Rosie? How did she get out of the tomb?"

"An old lady who was traveling across towns by just walking heard her from afar. She's now staying with her in a safe place in Lowland Lane," I explained to her before sitting on the couch in front of her desk.

"Lowland Lane? There's no house in there. Are you sure—"

"The old lady was strong enough to build one," I said, cutting her off.

"So, how is she?" she asked again.

"She's fine. I didn't see any injury on her body. But she needs to have a safer place," I informed Leona.
